Yes, Volkswagen Van plates. These are handpainted and simply adorable. Each is 10-1/8” wide and 7-7/8” high. There is no visible damage to the tops; no chips, cracks, crazing, or paint loss. Some wear on the bottom surfaces. The stickers on the bottom give the country of manufacture as PRC—Peoples Republic of China. This predates the simple current “China” label, and suggests that these are likely late vintage—perhaps 1970s. You will likely never see anything like these again—they are serious, wonderful kitsch.
