Jodhpur, especially the tourist districts, is a safe city to visit. My partner and I were two blond girls travelling alone when we travelled to Jodhpur. We felt really comfortable in the tourist areas, and we spent most of the day with our tour guide. Our guide did, however, caution us against venturing outside of the tourist districts after nightfall. I advise making reservations for a tour with Jodhpur taxi service if you want a simple, stress-free journey to Jodhpur. Your own personal driver and guide will accompany you the entire way. Is it worth visiting Jodhpur? Indeed, without a doubt. Jodhpur is unquestionably worthwhile adding to your itinerary, even though it's a little bit out from the "Golden Triangle" that most travellers to Northern India often visit (New Delhi, Jaipur, and the Taj Mahal). It's also rather simple to get there because Jodhpur is reachable by direct aircraft from New Delhi and to visit the blue city you can do the cab hire in Jodhpur. Its extreme lack of population compared to the other three "Golden Triangle" cities contributes to its tranquillity and laid-back atmosphere.
