Very good condition 1990 VX800 that I have owned for 5 months now. It is
my "getting back into riding bike" and I have now figured out which way
I want to go longer term (another V-twin shaft drive -> Moto Guzzi).
Current kms = 62,350; Rego till
I have been very impressed by the VX, its a great bike to ride up the
Putty and on Bells Line. Lots of torque and space on-board. Great color,
no chain hassle with shaft drive, and security of water cooling.
I bought the bike from Close in Redfern and have since covered 2500 kms,
renewed the clutch, replaced the ECU, and add progressive springs in
the fork. When Castle Hill Motorcycles replaced the clutch they also did
an oil +filter change. Probably needs a new rear tyre next rego.
I've also fiddled with the mirrors and rear fender and indicators. All
original parts still available.
on sale elsewhere is a TRX850 fairing + light ($250) that I was thinking
of fitting.
Would consider p/ex with a carby Moto Guzzi California in good condition
