I have reluctantly decided to wreck a good friends faithful old XJ900
shaft drive that has been up the back of my workshop for a while now.
I do so on his legit consentual behalf
After hi k's it needed at least a head service / cam chain / & likely more.
Together with rego it was just a bit too high an outlay for a mate to consider.
Note however after parking it in his garage for nearly a yr unreg he
he decided to have an overhaul of the carbies via my prof wkshop
(properly) & get it up & running via a remote seperate (clean
fuel tank). After a run test I assessed the above required repairs. Top
end very rattley Cam chain (stuffed)
Sad fact is the bike owes him quite a bit re the following parts replaced a couple of yrs back, E.G.
Good used mufflers
New Frnt brake master cylender
good nic used Koni shocks
re upholstered seat
