For
users who have Bigpond accounts, problems with Hotmail emails can arise for a
number of reasons. Look in the spam or junk folder of your Bigpond webmail
account first to check if the 'Hotmail' emails are being filtered there. In
such a case, make sure you mark “Not Spam” so that next time it doesn’t go to
Junk folder.
Then,
check your Bigpond account settings for email filters or rules to see if
messages from Hotmail are moved elsewhere. These can be changed using the
Bigpond web email interface. Also, make sure that your emails account is not
full as this can stop email from being though away and prevent it from being
delivered.
It
may also be due to Misconfigured email clients. Make sure that all Bigpond
email settings are in place and verify your IMAP/POP settings as well. If the
issue still persists, you may contact the Telstra support service and ask if
Bigpond accounts are experiencing any problems with Hotmail emails. They can
also help with additional problems regarding optimum reception of emails.
