Suzuki RM80 2000 model. Bike is in great condition for its age and will start first kick, every kick.
Running a bit low in bottom end power, it has incredible mid range
to top end power that will lift the front wheel all the way to 3rd gear
(I weigh 80kgs)
Previous owner claims it has been fitted with wiseco piston (0.25mm
oversize - 83cc), on last rebuild, and hasn't done many hours since, I
believe this to be true since it has the compression to start first kick
and to peak at such a rich band. The plastics have been newly sprayed
and kept in its original colour. Also has new bearings and water pump.
Changes between gears easily and the clutch easily holds its revs.
When it's cold it does want to peder out if left idling, (not that you
should let 2 strokes idle for too long anyway) but once it's had a quick
warm up it'll hold it's own much better. On that note, it has been
sitting around the last couple of years so it I would recommend a quick
clean up such as the air filter.
In my opinion the rear suspension is a little bit soft, though I
weigh 80kgs and I much prefer stiff suspension. The tyres still have a
bit of meat left on them. The seat has a tear along the stitching of the
seat about 200mm long and 20mm wide.
