Hi,
I have a 2007 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade for sale. I bought the bike
at the start of the year because I wanted to use the engine to design
and build an off-road buggy. Other things have happened since then and
so I'd like to sell the bike and put the money towards other things.
I bought the bike from the guy who stacked it. At the time it had
7000km on the clock, and the engine isn't damaged at all. There is only
one small scrape on the cover that I did when I scratched it on the
trailer. I've been regularly turning the engine over, just like the guy
before me did. The starter motor turns the engine, but it doesn't run as
some of the wiring is damaged. I can also give you copy of the Honda
workshop manual, including the entire wiring diagram.
The bike has all the ECU system still intact with the key, which by itself is worth about $650.
Because the insurance company he registered the bike with went bust,
it's not on the written off vehicle register. That means it's not a
write off. It does have two small cracks in the frame (you can see in
the photos), so whether you want to find someone that will weld the
frame and fix it in order to use it as a track bike, or pull it to bits
for wrecking and sell the parts to make a profit - it's your call. I
would not recommend fixing it to use on the road - bikes with a crack in
the frame are usually a statuatory write off (cannot be re-registered).
These are known as an excellent bikes that with low kms sell second
hand for $10000 - $12000.
