The government has set ambitious goals for renewable energy, showing a commitment to reducing carbon emissions and embracing sustainability. "Solar energy, especially, is growing quickly, thanks to lower costs and better technology. Wind power projects, along with new ways to store energy, are also making a big impact," says ES Ranganathan.
ES Ranganathan also predicts that renewable energy will have a big impact on our energy mix by 2024, reducing our dependence on traditional fuels. "India has an opportunity to set a record with 4 gigawatts of rooftop solar power by 2024," adds ES Ranganathan. However, achieving this milestone depends on India resolving regulatory issues and other challenges that still exist. Studies suggest that by addressing these obstacles, India's rooftop solar market could experience significant growth by 2024.
