When I first began studying for the ethics exams, I was particularly interested in finding answers to questions about theoretical applications and even ethics case studies because they required me to think creatively and forced me to think like an officer, two things that are impossible to learn from books or other resources. Every time I tried, the mentors would tell me to polish and develop my ideas. I would read all the necessary materials available, but I would never reach the point where I could say with certainty what the reach would be. Then, out of nowhere, I was given the chance to receive mentoring from Tirthankar Roychowdhary Sir, who is regarded as the best teacher for ethics among the entire UPSC faculty. When I was there, obtaining ideas and criticism on the strategy I used to write, the question somewhat astonished me because sir had told me something and had asked me so many fundamental questions about it that I had no idea how to respond to. Then, to clarify and polish my concepts by sir's guidance, I went to the demo lecture on GS paper- 4 at EDEN IAS, which is known as the best coaching institute for IAS in Delhi and also serves the best coaching for ethics, and wherein alongside sir functioning as the primary instructor for the ethics module. I went, and guess what? I was genuinely shocked to discover the topics being taught and included in the ethics syllabus. I was also able to assess why I wasn't able to come up with original and convincing answers. Under the general guidance of sir, I picked up on several things that I would not have otherwise understood and that I had never read about in any book or other preparation material. My concepts have been honed and improved to a greater level as a result of the interesting lectures and the practical value-added resources. Now that I can understand the question first, I can base my answer on what the question asks for, which is something I could not do before.
