Aqiqah Donation - Nottingham

At Muslim Charity, we distribute your Aqiqah donation among poor and vulnerable communities in Pakistan and Somalia. Once the goat or sheep has been sacrificed, the meat is distributed amongst the poor and vulnerable community members, where they get opportunity to cook nutritional meals for their families. Your Aqiqah donations help ensure poor and vulnerable families receive healthy, nutritious food and this helps combat hunger in poverty-stricken communities worldwide.

Alongside giving an Aqiqah donation, the head of a newborn baby is also shaved in the early days, and the hair is then weighed. A monetary donation is then given to those living in poverty or to orphans, based on the weight of the hair. The value of this is calculated in line with the current rate of silver at the time of donation. We can also distribute this Sadaqah for you to those most in need, and have calculated that approximately 12g of hair, which equates to 12g of silver is equivalent to £10. This donation can be made as a general Sadaqah donation.
