I changed nothing else and the bike sits as it did from the 70's. I would replace the tires on it, replace the oil lines, and give it a tune up, then enjoy. The miles on the motor were said to be under the 20k mark and was a swapped in motor before I acquired it, I don't believe this is a 1972 motor.
