High Alumina Refractory Bricks Introduction
High alumina brick is a kind of alumina-silicate refractory material with content of alumina oxide more than 48%. It is calcined and formed by the raw material of bauxite or the material with high content of AL2O3. High thermal stability, the refractoriness is more than 1770℃. Good slag resistance, used for the liner of masonry steel-making electric stove, glass furnace,rotary cement kiln and aluminum furnace.

The production process of high alumina products is similar to the production process of multi-clinker clay products. The production process should be determined according to the actual production situation, raw material characteristics, product requirements and production conditions and other factors. The clinker block before crushing is used for strict classification, the granular material is classified for storage and iron removal, and the clinker and the combined clay are mixed and finely ground.
High-alumina products are generally used in industrial kilns such as blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, and electric furnaces.
The physical and chemical indicators of high alumina bricks are divided into LZ-80, LZ-75, LZ-65, LZ-55, LZ-48, and several grades.

The characteristics of high aluminum products are as follows:
(1) Softening temperature under load. The softening temperature under load of ordinary high-alumina refractory products is generally above 1420~1550C, which is higher than that of clay-based refractory products, and increases with the increase of Al2O3 content. When Al2O3<70%, its softening temperature under load increases with the increase of the number ratio of mullite phase and glass phase, and the quantity and nature of liquid phase have a significant effect on softening temperature under load, so reduce the impurity content in raw materials, It is beneficial to improve the softening temperature under load and high temperature creep; when Al2O3> 70%, with the increase of Al2O3 content, the softening temperature under load does not increase significantly.
(2) Thermal shock resistance. The thermal shock resistance of ordinary high alumina refractory products mainly depends on the chemical mineral composition and microstructure. Generally worse than clay products.
(3) Chemical resistance. Ordinary high alumina refractory products have good resistance to acid or alkaline slag, molten metal corrosion, oxidation, and reduction reactivity, and it increases with the increase of Al2O3 content and the decrease of harmful impurity content.
